LUCID MLX 4.5-18X44 FFP Scope MLX Reticle

This precision optic was built from the ground up, offering a crystal clear 4.5-18x magnification range, built on a proven and easy to mount, 30mm, one piece, 6063 aluminum tube construction with nearly 6" of mounting length.

The optical system is set on the Front Focal plane, keeping the MLX reticle measurement aspects precisely consistent through the entire range of magnification. The NEW MLX reticle is a highly useful Mil based reticle with over 10MIL's of measurement in "hold over" and 5 Mil's of hold under available on the highest magnification in the field of view. The windage and elevation turrets are metered in a precise 1/10Mil tactile and audible click adjustment increments featuring a very useful "Lift, Adjust Press down to lock, Lift Higher to re-zero", mechanisms designed for secure and precise adjustments available to meet the needs of the shot. The glass selection and lens coatings have been specifically designed to offer an exceptional high resolution image through the carefully balanced optical engineering with a 44mm objective lens providing the light gathering performance second to few.

  • Waterproof, Fogproof, and shockproof
  • Multi coated optics
  • Side parallax adjustment

Great clarity, just OK reticle.

Solid scope for the money. Bought this and a similar Athlon brand scope (Helos 6X25) and ended up returning the athlon. The athlon has a much better reticle, especially for wind and using it at anything under max magnification (this Lucids reticle is OK, but a little small, especially under 12-14X). The Lucid won out though because the clarity was amazing compared to the Athlon. Using this in NRL22 competitions to stay in base. Will update after a match, loving this so far with about 200 rounds through it though.

If I had to guess I'd say this and the Athlon Helos are actually made in the same factory just to different specs, the likeness between them is pretty striking.

Update August 2018: I've used this scope in 3-4 NRL22 matches and it has served me well (I've won every match), Parralax adjustment works well and at top magnification I can clearly see targets at between 25-50 yards apart at distances less then 100 yards. I really like it though I may upgrade to a Leupold MK6 since I'm in open now. Very pleased with this optic, it is overkill for 22lr matches at distances less then 100 yards but it gets the job done.
