I had been looking for a gun safe for my Ford 150 Raptor, for some time and this was the only product that appeared to be strong and durable. When it arrived it definitely lived up to my expectations! The product is made of durable and strong steel, and fit's almost perfectly under the rear seat. The Ford Raptor has a "power box" under the drivers side rear seat, which protrudes beyond the rear retaining rail but about 5mm. This is not an issue with the installation but means the box does not open 100 - perhaps 90. There is no access issues even with the "power box" on the Raptor, the combination lock is robust and easy to open and change the combination. I installed this on top of my WeatherTech floor liners - and - this was not an issue. Looks almost as if the box was factory installed. What I really like about this product is that the bolt covers prevent the box being removed without having the combination to open the safe lid. To fit the safe, the plastic retainer under the bench seat needs to be removed - and - the kit comes with a really nice metal plate to replace the original plastic piece (I really liked this as it makes the installation even more secure. The safe is the full length of the rear seat - so ample room for long-guns. The product is a little expensive - but - you get what you pay for, something to ensure your guns are safe. I use it everyday for my work-bag and laptop - a lot safer than just hiding things under the bench seat.
Great addition to my escape vehicle. Fit perfect and installed in about 20 minutes....only down side was I was sent the wrong mounting brackets a quick call resolved the issue.
This is a solid product that fits perfectly in a Super Crew F150 and is easy to install. The novel way of securing the safe to the seat frame and truck floor is pretty impressive for its simplicity. Plenty of room for at least two hunting rifles if not three plus a few handguns. My only complaint is the price ... after installing and using the safe I am thinking this is a $600 to $700 product, not $950. Yes, this is a kind of niche product, and yes it is 12 gauge steel, and yes it is reasonably secure, but bumping up against $1K puts it close to smaller floor standing gun safes with more features and security.
