I have tried a couple things on my AR builds over the years, decided to try the fad of LPVO's and while they have all been pretty good I just can't get over adding 14-20 oz of scope and another 3-6 oz with a mount. I tried various combos and got an LPVO setup down to low 20oz. That is a lot of weight on top of a lightweight 16" AR. I have tried various Prism sights 3x & 4x, while the weight being less I actually preferred thist set up. When I saw this announced at SHOT 2020 I was waiting for some initial reviews, nothing............. Then I caught a posting on AR15 forum where someone took the plunge, then another all reporting good initial thoughts. I snagged, i got to say that I am surprised this has not been tried before. This is PERFECT! A 3x prism sight the size of a common micro Red dot, wide field of view and super lightweight, great glass for the price range. The reticle while maybe a little smaller that I have used it other 3-4x scopes it was the same size as the Steiner I tried. BDC reticles don't always work as I may use different combos of ammo, got to learn what you shoot. I combined this with fixed 45 degree sight, makes a perfect all around performer. I don't understand people expecting to take their 5.56 past 500 yds. At 3x this is perfect hunting distance is 50-100 yds match, another else perfect to hit man sized targets up to 400 yrds. BURRIS is the only one that has a 3x prism this size, weight and features. Need to get the word out BURRIS! Nothing is perfect and I have 3 things that would make this a 5 star product; 1.) make the reticle only light up the center dot and horseshoe, 2.) I hate buttons, give a rotary dial, 3.) give me the ability to change mounts or do a quality QD mount instead.
